I received Ina Garten’s new cookbook, “Make It Ahead” as a Christmas gift. Ms. Garten’s latest cookbook focuses on recipes that can be made ahead so that the host or hostess can spend less time in the kitchen, and more time enjoying their guest’s company. From hors d’oeuvres to desserts there are easy, but elegant, dishes to be made fully, or partially ahead, as well as advice for stress-free entertaining – one of my highest priorities. My first dish is her recipe for Pastitsio, a Greek comfort food made from lamb, beef, pasta and béchamel that sounds delicious. I am including a link to her recipe published on FoodNetwork.com and Epicurious.com. I will prepare this tomorrow – I can’t wait.
